Some Late Finds
This digital age has given us access to more bands than ever. While that's mostly a blessing, it also makes me aware that each and every day, I'm missing opportunities to hear incredible music. But, I'm doing my best. So here are a few last-minute finds before I start to summarize my year in music.
The Lemon Twigs
Thanks for the tip, Foxygen! I don't know much about The Lemon Twigs other than they're from New York. But who isn't? You can name your own price and download their record on Bandcamp.
Mozes and the Firstborn
Thanks for the spin, Total Drag! Liz played the Mozes and the Firstborn record at our third annual Kiosk Thursday at Fresh Produce. I've been listening to a lot since. You can also pay whatever you'd like for this record at Bandcamp.
The Tinder Box
This isn't actually a late find, but I haven't posted for a few weeks, so I'm catching up. My friends in The Tinder Box, in collaboration with Andrew Kightlinger, did amazing job crafting a video for their tune, "Cut You Down (Cold Dark)". It's hard to believe everything but Brad Van is CGI.
Before I sit down for my annual review of my favorite music, I've asked a few friends to share their favorites with me. Over the next couple of weeks, I'm going to share their tunes and hopefully you'll find a few new things to add to your collections. Until then, my year-end lists are available in the archives for your listening/viewing pleasure.
