Some Music You Can See In Sioux Falls And Some You Can't (Yet?)

The White Buffalo

Andy Howes scored another good one for Sioux Falls. The White Buffalo will perform at Icon Lounge on October 26. In their own words:
"Jake Smith writes about rebels, outsiders and troubled souls battling their way through the obstacles life throws in their paths, telling timeless tales generally set against recognizably contemporary backdrops."
They recently made their network television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Check it out here. And the song above is a Faster Pussycat cover they performed for West of Memphis: Voices for Justice. It also appeared during the final season of Showtime's Californication. You may have also heard them on Sons of Anarchy. TV loves them!

Landlady

Thanks to Sylvan Esso for this recommendation during their appearance on the Dinner Party Download. The Brooklyn-based Landlady are actually bunch of guys and I can't confirm whether or not they own property or if they rent. Actually, I hope they live on the road, because more people deserve to hear their music.

Also, mouths are weird, right?

BRONCHO

I shared "Class Historian" back in July and at the time I was eagerly awaiting the release of BRONCHO's second album, Just Enough Hip To Be Woman. I was finally rewarded this week and I wasn't disappointed. These dudes just know how to write hooks. There must be something in the water down in Oklahoma. Generously, you can stream the whole album on SoundCloud.
